What is fiberglass tape?
Fiber tape (also known as glass fiber tape) is made of PET as the base material with reinforced polyester fiber thread and coated with special pressure sensitive adhesive.
Fiber tape is divided into: single-sided striped fiber tape, single-sided mesh fiber tape, double-sided mesh fiber tape, and the ways of using it without tape are different.
The main characteristics of fiber tape: It has strong breaking strength, excellent wear resistance and moisture resistance, and the unique pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has excellent lasting adhesion and special properties, which can meet a variety of different uses.
Uses of fiber tape: Home appliance packaging: such as washing machines, refrigerators, freezers, etc.; metal and wooden furniture packaging; water pipe leakage and waterproof; pad/carton transportation; carton packaging; zero-load items packaging.
Double-sided fiber tape is more suitable for the pasting of rubber products. The main application of fiber tape is to repair dry board walls, gypsum board joints, various wall cracks and other wall damage. Main performance: Excellent alkali resistance, durability: high tensile strength and deformation resistance, anti-crack, no deterioration, no foam, excellent self-adhesiveness, insulation and heat conduction, high temperature resistance.
Special double-sided mesh fiber tape for door and window sealing strips, single-sided striped fiber tape for household appliances, single-sided mesh fiber tape for fixed packaging of irregular items, no need to pre-prime, fast use and simple construction. Color: usually white.
The construction method of fiber tape edit:
1. Keep the wall clean and dry.
2. Stick tape on the crack and press it tightly.
3. Confirm that the gap has been covered by tape, then cut the Duo She tape with a knife, and finally brush with mortar.
4. Let it air dry, then lightly sand.
5. Fill enough paint to make the surface smooth.
6. Cut off the leaking tape. Then, pay attention that all the cracks have been properly repaired, and use fine composite materials to modify the surrounding area of the joints to make it as clean as new.
